Pricing philosophy

We think SaaS pricing is predatory.

Here's how we think about pricing Chime, and why it gets cheaper as more people join.

Why we're building Chime

We were running an agency. We learned the hard way that building pipeline is brutal, especially when you're asking customers for seven-figure commits.

What worked wasn't outbound. It was referrals. People trusted us before our first call because someone they trusted had vouched for us.

The question became: how do we replicate that at scale?

What we discovered

Social media did most of the work, when we wrote well and engaged consistently. We started showing up in the comments of influencers who spoke about problems we knew cold. Our ICPs noticed.

That's how the algorithm works. Once you're in someone's feed, they start trusting you. They see your opinions. They form an impression.

When our own comments started getting engagement, we reached out. And we had an inbound pipeline.

What Chime does

Chime gives you back the time we used to lose doing this manually. Hours scrolling LinkedIn, hunting for the posts that matched what we knew, trying to find places we could actually contribute.

Chime removes all of that.

Our pricing philosophy

We're building Chime to support a team of five full-time employees, working on Chime alongside a suite of marketing and sales tools.

Three commitments

  1. 01

Price goes down as we grow.

As we add customers, we will reduce the price across every data source.

  2. 02

    Profitable, not predatory.

We'll build a profitable business. But we believe SaaS pricing today is predatory, and we won't play that way.

  3. 03

    A community, rewarded.

If users invite other users who see value in Chime, they'll be rewarded. This is a community.

As more users join, the price comes down, for as long as we can support our team of five.

What this means for you

If you join the Design Partner Program today, you lock in $39 per month, covering every data source we ship, forever. That's our trade. You help us build the right thing. We never raise your price.

If you join later, you'll pay per data source. But that per-source price will keep dropping as the community grows.

Either way, you win.
